Project Overview

To translate advocacy into visible public action, a coordinated five-kilometre awareness walk was organized simultaneously in Lagos and Abuja. The initiative was designed to mobilize community participation, strengthen stakeholder collaboration, and spark nationwide conversations around youth wellbeing.

“ASAP is an Anti-drug program by MTN and partnered with the NDLEA and the UNODC to contribute to the reduction of drug abuse amongst the Nigerian youth.”

The ASAP (Anti-Substance Abuse Programme) initiative by MTN, in partnership with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, was created to combat the rising incidence of drug abuse among young Nigerians.

Proposed Solutions

- Coordinated participant registration and crowd management
- Strategic route planning and on-ground supervision
- Stakeholder engagement to reinforce campaign credibility
- Media visibility support to extend campaign reach

To ensure strong public visibility and seamless coordination across both cities, we executed a structured activation strategy focused on participant mobilization, logistics management, stakeholder alignment, and message amplification.

The activation successfully translated advocacy into measurable public participation and stakeholder visibility.

Key outcomes included:
- Over 500 participants across Lagos and Abuja
- Attendance and keynote speech by the First Lady of Lagos State
- Heightened public awareness and strengthened institutional collaboration
